Sand and sky. Blue and shades of light brown. Seashells, nets, sand, coral, exotic flowers maybe, or simply pretty grasses. tin pales, weathered boards, anything you would see around a beach

what about a beach at home theme.. because light houses are ususally near the ocean and you have the lake there too..which would set the mood.
you can put a tarpaulin down and cover it in sand.. if there are kiddies..put some pails adn shovels in a corner for the kids to play in. woman can wear sun dresses and men in bermuda shorts and hawaiian shirts. you can place plants and trees around the pretended beach, you can have your ceromony in the sand, without shoes. you can rent patio furniture with bright coloured umbrellas. use pails with flower arrangements for your centrepieces. yous wedding cake can look like a sand castle. at night you can light up the light house of have extra bamboo torches around the dance area..and lots of bright colours.

you dont want to many cheap looking things like nets and only two shades of colour. you wnat it to lok classy and attractive..and because you have the light house and possibly extra bamboo lights..having a brightly coloured theme will bring out the elegance and radiance of the mood.

I am so jealous! I love lighthouses and my husband actually proposed to me ontop of one. I think that a lighthouse theme would be awesome. There are tons of lighthouse favors and decorations I found when I was planning my wedding. Your colors could be anything depending on what season. If it’s in a garden, pastels would be nice like lavander, pinks, greens and blues.

I think blue and white/ivory would be classy for dresses, depending on how you feel about your gals wearing white…It could just be a white sash….That doesn’t mean your flowers have to be blue and white only. Throw in some of those gorgeous lavender roses and some airy grasses….the possibilities are endless! I think tropical flowers might look too…..well….tropical. I think you should lean more nautical and less tropical in terms of your theme. Tropical flowers make me think palm trees and coconuts, not lighthouses. I liked the idea about the weathered look with nets and weathered wood and shells and metal containers. I think you’ve got a beautiful backdrop, so I’m sure it will be lovely!!!

You would not want over the top formal of course.

Navy/yellow or what season is your reception?

Look at the colors on the lighthouse, the folage, etc. surrounding and blend from that.

    Hope this helps!
