    It’s quite strange. If it’s all family, why is it necessary? People don’t necessarily like wearing them expecially in their nice clothes.

    It isn’t tacky, but I wouldn’t do it. First off, people take care with their clothing for something like this. A sticky sign really ruins their outfit. It is the job of the couple and wedding party to make sure people mingle and have met others.

    Yes. Use name cards in front of their place settings instead.

    Maybe a bit tacky but it’s an easy way of remembering names without the awkward ‘gee I know the face but I’ve forgotten your name again’ questions. You might ask people to say ‘I’m John’ etc before they speak to others until people get to know each other. Sounds a bit corny but might help break the ice a little. Perhaps give them a choice. It’s either the introduction or write their name in crayon on their forehead. I know which one I’d choose.
