I did my registry with Target online and went to the store since I couldn’t find a link anywhere on their site to print out the cards and the employee in customer service informed me they didn’t do that. I just found it odd since I am registered in 2 other stores and both provide them. I would just like to know if anybody has been able to get them this year? THANKS!!!

I had heard several months ago they’d stopped, but I’m not sure how true that is. The bigger issue is you don’t need or want them.

If you’re having a shower thrown for you, the hostess of the shower can just put the names of the stores where you’re registered on the invite. People do this all the time, and it’s fine because you’re not the hostess of the event.

For the wedding invite, these should never be enclosed, since people see it as gift grabby. The way around it is to set up a free wedding website if you haven’t already, and there will be a section for registry info. Just list it there. And then you can put a mention of the website on your invites at the bottom: "For further info, please see our website at ……"

The website can also be used for maps, directions, photos, hotel info, etc, so it’s a good thing to have!

No I know they don’t give you the cards anymore so what I did is I went to office depot and got cheap business cards and printed the numbers of each registry on the card. Then added the card into each invite for bridal shower, wedding shower and wedding.

They did you a favor. Store registry cards are tacky! There is nothing worse than to open an invitation full of coupons and trashy solicitation, yikes!

If you want an event with some class, I suggest you skip such travesty. Do not include that on your wedding invitations and simply, have the hostess of your shower include a note with the registry options, also put than information on your wedding website.

    Good luck
