"The gift of your presence is most dear to us"

"Your attendance only is what means the most to us"

"Your presence is the best gift we can receive"

Or simply spread the word by word of mouth, or register for a charity.

    Good luck

the best advice I ever read in a card was that if a couple was to argue they must agree to take off all their clothes and argue in the nude…you will be surprised how short the fight is and how quick the loving starts!

At the very bottom of the invite we are just saying "No Gifts Please"

Don’t put anything in the invitation re: gifts. I know your heart’s in the right place, but it’s rude to mention gifts at all in an invitation, even to say you don’t want any. You can spread the message via your family and wedding party.

ADDENDUM (directed to the 2 people who gave me a thumbs down). Here is what Weddingchannel.com had to say:

“Some couples would prefer that their guests bring no gifts to the wedding. It is not appropriate to print "No Gifts Please" on the invitation, instead you should rely on word of mouth generated by your attendants and wedding party. . . . The bottom line is, it is never appropriate to mention wedding gifts in the wording of the wedding invitation.”

Generally, gifts are not mentioned on the invitation itself. But since you’re asking guests NOT to bring gifts, I think you’d be okay to either include a line at the bottom of the invitation or on a seperate card in the invitation envelope.

You can say, "Your presence is the only gift we request."
Or if you’d prefer, you can say, "In lieu of gifts, please consider a donation to …" and put in the charity of your choice. Guests like to give something, and a donation to a charity is a good alternative.

Be aware that no matter what you put, some guests will bring gifts. Just thank them politely and send a thank you card later.

i just received an invitation to a co-workers wedding and they put a clear sticker with black ink on the back of the reply envelope that said…. no gifts please… it was simple and to the point…

It can also be word of mouth. Most people are going to ask whoever they know closest to you, for example your mom where you are registered. When they ask you can just have people respond, thank you for the gesture but they are requesting no gifts.

If you do not want gifts, you can put at the bottom:

"Your presence is the only gift we need."

Or you could choose to do something nice for a charity like having people donate money in your honor. You could put something like:

"Your presence is a gift but if you feel the need to give us something, we would like donations placed in our name to ______(insert charity name) in lieu of gifts. Thank you."

The one I like best is "Your presence is our present"
